What is a breathwork meditation class like?

A breathwork class is a special experience that's all about reconnecting with yourself. We'll dive into focused breathing techniques that help quiet the mind, reduce stress, and promote inner balance, and improve clarity of thought.  As you lie on your back with your eyes covered, the class will be guided through a progression of coached breathing designed to create a deeper meditative state that promotes stillness.  Afterward, you might leave feeling ready to enjoy the world with renewed energy. It's your moment to breathe, find your center, and embrace the unknown with a little less fear and a little more confidence.


  • Who should NOT do a breathwork class?
  • Someone who is pregnant
  • If you have heart problems, or epilepsy
  • If you have any severe medical conditions please ask your physician


  • Extra items I can use or bring to enhance my experience...It's like packing for a sleep over!
  • Yoga mat or we have some to use
  • Eye mask or we have one you can use
  • Folded blankets/bolster for under your head and knees or we have some you can use
  • Cozy throw blanket to cover up


  • How much does a class cost?
  • Save money and purchase a 10 class package $150/$15 per class
  • $20 drop in
  • Student and Military Special Rates available
  • If you are a member of Ignite, breath work classes are included in your membership


  • What if I am sick?
  • Please stay home, we will be here when you are feeling better! 


  • How big are the classes?
  • Between 1 and 20 people


  • Do I need experience to do this class?
  • No. We welcome anyone!


  • Do I need to be fit to attend class?
  • Nope!  This is not an exercise class.


  • How often should I do breathwork?
  • Breathwork can be done everyday!
  • We recommend a class between 1-4x per month


  • What will I experience during a class?
  • You may feel the physical sensation of tingling, cold, or kind cramping.
  • You may feel the emotional sensation of bliss, joy, peace, stress and anxiety release, less pain, happiness, love, focus, clarity, and creativity.


  • Am I laying down during class?
  • Most of the class you are laying down
  • In some formats such as athletic performance or restorative you will be doing simple movements

  • Is there an age limit?
  • We welcome everyone, although under 16 must be with an adult and approved beforehand.
  • Use your best judgment. They need to be able to be still and silent to respect the practice of those around them.


  • Is there a cancellation policy?
  • Yes, any cancellations an hour or less before class starts will result in a $10 cancellation fee.


  • How early should I arrive to class?
  • Arrive 10-15 minutes before class to find a spot and get settled in but come earlier if you want some alone time to meditate.
